The Squashed Pixel family is growing
Squashed Pixel are a Yorkshire based, award winning design agency and Shopify expert.
Since 2009, we have built a respectable client base across a wide range of industries, and have provided specific solutions for each one. Our areas of expertise covers website design and development (particularly the Shopify ecommerce platform), digital consultancy and graphic design.
Over the past year we have seen a significant increase in new business. We are committed to delivering the best possible solutions for our clients, which has led us to grow our talented in-house team. We’re passionate about investing in our community and really proud that all of our staff are a 100% home grown too.
Investing locally is really important to us and so we’re super excited to introduce two new team members to our team. Welcome to Jamie and Sonny, the newest members to join our ever-growing digital family.
Jamie joins us as Web Developer, with a strong background in retail from working over the last six years supporting brands such as La Redoute with their ecommerce platforms. He has a solid understanding and experience of WordPress, Shopify and email marketing.
In his new role, Jamie will be responsible for the design, build and development of web platforms. With his experience he will bring innovative ways of working which will benefit our existing and new clients going forward. At Squashed Pixel we value having a forward thinking team to support us.

As part of our ethos to invest in our community, we were really keen to grow our local talent by investing in training, giving opportunities, sharing knowledge and up skilling to young people. With this in mind we spoke with a local college, Craven College, Skipton about working and supporting apprenticeships, and through working with the College we were super excited to be able to offer Sonny an 18 month work placement with a view to continuing with us after this.
Sonny joins us as a Level Three apprentice in Information Technology. He will work alongside the development team to learn on-the-job skills whilst studying one day a week at Craven College. Sonny will spend his time initially getting to grips with various software packages, and is particularly looking forward to learning Shopify’s Liquid language.

Following a successful and busy 2017 for Squashed Pixel, 2018 looks even busier. Already looking to expand it’s successful portfolio of international clients, thanks to their expertise in the delivery of Shopify, future growth is imminent. But their focus doesn’t solely lay here. They still have their feet firmly on the ground helping local Yorkshire businesses improve their online presence and helping them to streamline their own business.
