One of my biggest frustrations with Shopify’s native search is the clunky keyword searches, so it’s great to see this new intuitive shopping experience!

Shopify's revamped Search and Discovery features Semantic Search, a powerful AI tool that understands what customers are really looking for. Forget about struggling to find the right keywords.

Now, shoppers can simply describe their needs using natural language. Imagine searching for "something twinkly and sparkly for a Christmas party" and discovering a curated selection of festive, sparkling dresses and skirts – magic, right?

Semantic Search doesn't stop there.

Imagine searching for "navy shirt" and seeing relevant results instantly, thanks to smart filter connections. Plus, merchants can customise filters even further, allowing shoppers to refine their search with multiple terms like "smart" and "blue" shirts.

The addition of swatches makes it easier than ever to search by colour.

This means more freedom, flexibility, and efficiency for both store owners and developers. The reusable blocks are like LEGO bricks for your store theme. You can now create text sections, images, buttons, or any other element, and then drop them anywhere within your theme. No more copy-pasting or recreating the same element – simply define it once and reuse it seamlessly. This speeds up development, ensures consistency, and lets you focus on creativity.

Forget the previous limitations of nesting blocks with up to eight levels of nesting, you can build intricate and organised layouts. Think detailed product descriptions, layered footers, or interactive promotional sections – the possibilities are endless.

Nest a text block inside (level 2) to highlight key features.

Then, nest another block within that (level 3) for specific details like size and material.
