Party time! The team get together to celebrate

Competitive merriment ensues…

Last weekend Squashed Pixel headed to Birmingham for some much-deserved R&R ahead of a busy Q4.

The SP family need no excuse to get together for some social fun. This time, however, our head honchos Claire and Tom Gatenby wanted to reward the team for their huge efforts and great work over the past few months since our last official company social in Manchester. Squashed Pixel has gone from strength to strength this year, achieving some great successes with the brilliant brands we’ve partnered with – whose growth has gone hand in hand with our own - meaning there was plenty to celebrate.

Whilst nobody works harder or possesses more professional knowledge in this business than Claire and Tom, we’ve also benefitted from some extra help and fresh expertise as we continue to expand our squad. Another reason to come together and party! New members include Danielle (Front End Developer), Sandy (Web Developer), (Digital Project Manager), Lewis (Developer), and Paul (Brand Manager). We also congratulate Jess and welcome her to the new role of Operational Change Manager, where she’ll be a great asset in facilitating Squashed Pixel’s continued growth and evolution. Exciting times ahead!

As you can imagine, all this helped increase the buzz and energy ahead of our meetup. The group were definitely in high spirits (no pun intended!) as we took to Treetop Golf for some adventure golf. Despite an admitted lack of Rory McIlroys on the team, things got real competitive real quick. After all, medals were up for grabs!

Check out the gallery below for pics of the proud victors.

Congratulations to Jack (Overall Champion), who amassed an amazing SIX hole-in-ones (with minimal cheating too), Isaac (Best Moment), and Jess (Sneaky Shot Taker – again no pun intended)!

And very well done to Tom G for his own hole in one on the 19th, winning an extra round!

After our monumental efforts on the green we headed to Tattu for some 10/10 food (an absolute smorgasbord – thanks Claire & Tom!) and a suitable amount of great wine and even better cocktails, before hitting the streets to sample Birmingham’s nightlife.

Already looking forward to the Christmas socials – which will surely be much needed and well deserved considering what we’ve got in the pipeline for Q4 - and hopefully a chance to even the score with some more games!
