Aire Valley Business Network (AVBN)

Squashed Pixel have been involved with the Aire Valley Business Network for some time now. When the issue of their existing site arose at a meeting, Squashed Pixel recognised the perfect opportunity to both have some fun and give the networking group a useful tool to keep in touch and an additional platform to sell themselves.

To do this Squashed Pixel designed and built a site based on a full Content Management System that is fully updateable by everyone in the group. We created a forum for members to discuss local issues, offer advice and post special offers to both other AVBN members, and the general public. We have also Incorporated an events calender and a blog system that allows members to officially post their own events, sales and landmarks for all to see.

The key section of the site, although still in it's seedling stages is the business directory. Every member of the group currently has a listing in the directory, all of which, can forward on to their own personal page. For members with less marketing or online experience, this is currently their only method of advertising online. With direct links and URLs available it means these members can now take those all important first steps towards creating an online presence and building awareness of their company.
